Caverion provides building systems worth over EUR 5 million to Aquis Plaza shopping center in Aachen, Germany

Caverion has secured a contract with the general contractor Ed. Züblin AG to install ventilation, air conditioning and sanitation systems to Aquis Plaza, a new shopping center under construction in Aachen, Germany. The value of the project is over EUR 5.5 million and it covers project management and project execution. With the contract, Caverion and Ed. Züblin AG are continuing their long-term partnership.

“Complex new buildings such as shopping centers require increasingly advanced technology. Caverion has special expertise in the latest ventilation and air conditioning technology, such as the progressive heat recovery systems that will be used in the air conditioning of Aquis Plaza. It also compasses strong experience in project management, which is a prerequisite for successfully carrying out such large projects”, says the spokesperson from Ed. Züblin AG.

Caverion has already demonstrated its high level of quality and ability to meet tight deadlines to Ed. Züblin AG in extensive joint projects, such as the Milaneo shopping center in Stuttgart and the University Hospital in Jena.

The Aquis Plaza, which is being built by the Hamburg-based real estate developer ECE, will cover approximately 30,000 m² and house around 130 shops. In addition, there will  be 33 residential units and 600 m² of office space. Caverion has already commenced work on the project, and the new shopping center is scheduled to open in autumn 2015.
