Caverion receives EUR 7 million restoration project in Stavanger, Norway

Caverion is to redevelop the Bergelandsgården building, located in central Stavanger, to the Norwegian standard of the passive house (Passivhus). The contract is valued at EUR 7 million. In addition to Caverion's patented ClimaCeil cooling and ventilation system, Caverion will be providing electrical systems and piping.

Caverion commences work on April 2014 and the work will be ready by November 2015. The building, with a floor area of 12,000 square metres, will combine office space, labs and archives.

"We chose Caverion to supply the technical installations at Bergelandsgården on account of ClimaCeil. The building has low ceilings that would make it hard to use any other technical solutions," says developer Torstein Gjesteland from Bergeland Eiendom AS.

The building is to be used by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the Public Archive, and both have set high requirements to indoor air quality. ClimaCeil will meet the stipulated requirements like correct temperature, noise level, lighting and absence of draughts, in addition to providing flexibility if the building is ever renovated or refurbished.

ClimaCeil gathers all technical installations in one place. With ClimaCeil the airflow can be adjusted as needed at different locations in the building. ClimaCeil is adapted to modern, energy-saving control and automation systems.
