Caverion has signed a large project contract with project developer Wöhr+Bauer for the delivery of building solutions to a high-end office complex in Munich, Germany. The office complex will rise to the grounds of the former Munich Riem airport and incorporate the airport’s old 35-metre control tower. Caverion is responsible for project execution. The technical disciplines covered by the contract are: heating, cooling, air conditioning, sanitation and sprinkler systems. The value of the contract will not be disclosed.
The office complex under construction will have five storeys with a total surface area of 23,000 m² and an underground car park. The property already has gold LEED core and shell precertification.
“Caverion will play an important part in the quality of the interior. The air conditioning system will include chilled ceilings which will guarantee pleasant indoor climate in the offices,” says Werner Kühn, Executive Vice President & CEO, Division Germany of Caverion.
The installation work by Caverion has already started and the building is scheduled to be handed over to the main tenant, medical technology company Brainlab AG at the end of December 2016. Wöhr+Bauer is part of Caverion’s Real Estate Owners & Developers customer segment.
