Caverion has started a project worth approximately EUR 20 million for Deutsche Telekom on designing and delivering building systems for the company’s headquarters in Bonn, Germany. Caverion renews the headquarters’ building systems in conjunction with the revitalisation of the building area. Caverion’s delivery covers the disciplines heating and sanitation, ventilation and air-conditioning, cooling, electricity and automation solutions. Caverion is responsible for the design and execution of the project.
To create an optimal indoor climate at any time of the day, Caverion will install multifunction AVACS sails to the ceilings of the office spaces. Sails, assimilating harmonically into the room design, integrate e.g. cooling and heating. Sails are designed and developed by Krantz, which is part of Caverion’s operations in Germany. Caverion will also install more than 4,500 data points throughout the building complex to ensure reliable and controlled interaction of all building systems.
“Caverion is able to cover a whole range of technical disciplines. By being involved from the beginning of a project, we can shorten the construction phase and lower the overall costs. The building automation designed by our experts provides technical intelligence for the entire building services,” says Werner Kühn, Executive Vice President & CEO, Division Germany of Caverion.
Around 2,500 employees work in the headquarters of Deutsche Telekom. Total floor area of the building is approximately 26,000 square metres over four floors. The work is expected to be finished by April 2017.
