Caverion provides total technical solutions for the second phase of the Tikkurila Office and Commercial Centre Dixi in Vantaa, Finland

Caverion has signed a contract with general contractor YIT on the design and project execution of total technical solutions for the second phase of the office and commercial centre Dixi in Tikkurila, Vantaa. The contract covers the technical disciplines of heating and sanitation, ventilation and air conditioning, cooling, electricity, security and safety, and automation. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 7.6 million.

The expansion of the office and commercial centre encompasses approximately 4,000 m2 of commercial premises and 8,000 m2 of office space. Dixi’s second phase is set to be completed in the spring of 2017. The first phase of Dixi was completed in late 2014, and the section containing the commercial centre was opened to the public in January 2015. The first phase also included the completion of a parking complex serving the entire centre and a new bus terminal. Caverion was also responsible for delivering the building systems of the first phase.

“Dixi’s office and commercial centre has got off to an excellent start. This also allowed us to begin work on the second phase. The first phase was recognised with the first LEED Platinum certification awarded to a commercial and office centre project in Finland. The building systems played a major role in the scoring of the certificate, and succeeding in that together with Caverion formed a sound basis for continuing our cooperation in Dixi’s second phase,” says Timo Lehmus, head of YIT’s Real Estate Development business division.
