Caverion has signed two framework agreements for electricity estimated to a total worth over EUR 20 million with the NDEA (Norwegian Defence Estates Agency) Property and facility management (Forsvarsbygg utleie) in Norway. The agreements include project execution and technical maintenance of low voltage for various properties owned by the NDEA. The contracts are for four years, but can be terminated by either party after two years, and are estimated to be worth EUR 5.2 million each year.
The NDEA is an administrative agency subordinate to the Ministry of Defence in Norway. The agency’s primary tasks relate to the planning, construction, administration, leasing and disposal by sale of defence estates and properties. The NDEA Property and facility management is responsible for managing and renting out over 17,000 properties, buildings and facilities of a total of 3.8 million square metres – from combat and defence installations to camps and housing for military employees.
The two agreements will cover seven different geographical areas in Norway.
“We have cooperated with the NDEA for many years, and one of our key strengths for securing these deals is our heavy national presence in over 50 locations in Norway. It is a great honour to be part of maintaining some of Norway’s oldest and most historic buildings,” says Knut Gaaserud, Division Manager and CEO of Caverion Norway.
NDEA belongs to Caverion’s Public client segment.
