Metsä Wood and Caverion make an agreement on technical maintenance for sawmills in Lappeenranta and Renko
Caverion has made a partnership agreement with Metsä Wood for sawmills in Lappeenranta and Renko. Caverion will be responsible for technical maintenance and related managed services on the sites until further notice as of February 2016. The value of the agreement will not be disclosed.
In connection with the partnership, 24 people from Metsä Wood's Renko and Lappeenranta sawmills’ maintenance will be transferred to Caverion Suomi Oy as of February 1, 2016, retaining their status as "old employees".
The partnership with Caverion is one step in the realisation of Metsä Wood's strategy of industrial efficiency. The objective of harmonising technical maintenance is to significantly raise the level of availability, cost-efficiency and management of working capital.
