Caverion has prolonged its Managed Services contract with the Technical University Munich (TUM) in Germany. The agreement is a continuation to an existing co-operation at the campus Garching since the 1990’s. The value of the contract is not disclosed.
Over 25 Caverion employees take care of the Managed Services including the management and operations as well as the availability of the technical building installations in all technical disciplines. These are Heating and sanitation, Ventilation and air conditioning, Cooling, Electricity, Information and communication services, Security and safety as well as Automation. This covers an area of approximately 295,000 m² at the campus in Garching. Part of the contract is the implementation of a CAFM system (Computer Aided Facility Management System). Caverion has already started to work with a CAFM system at the TUM to regulate and document the operations. In the future the system will be extended and optimised.
“Our project team is equipped with mobile devices. They allow us to control and enhance the regular operations of the technical building installations. This way we create optimal conditions for the users of the Technical University Munich”, says Werner Kühn, Executive Vice President and CEO, Division Caverion Germany.
The Technical University Munich belongs to Caverion´s Public client segment.
