Aalto University receives a donation from Caverion for the development and education and research of smart building technology and smart buildings. Caverion is committed to financially support the Intelligent Buildings Doctoral school, part of School of Electrical Engineering, between 2021-2025.

“We are happy to get Caverion, one of the leaders in its field, as one of our supporters for the next five years. Our Doctoral school trains upcoming experts who can bring change to the sector by offering a comprehensive understanding of its future potential. We also aim to share latest knowledge and expertise between the academic world and companies,” says Heikki Ihasalo, Professor of Practice in Smart buildings, Aalto University.

Smart solutions and sustainability are key themes in Caverion’s strategy. “We want to support smart building technology research and help make our cities smarter and more sustainable.
