Caverion supports the John Nurminen Foundation – donates EUR 15,000 for saving the Baltic Sea

Caverion continues to support the John Nurminen Foundation with their mission to save the Baltic Sea and its heritage for future generations.

"We have 15,000 people in our company, so we wanted to donate the same amount in euros to protect our geographical heart, the Baltic Sea. Our focus on sustainability and supporting our customers to save energy and reduce their CO2 emissions helps to save the Baltic Sea for future generations. This, combined with our donation, is a great purpose and match for us and something our people are clearly proud of," says Jacob Götzsche, President and CEO of Caverion.

Caverion is one of the key partners of the John Nurminen Foundation. “Company donations help us to implement long-term activities to improve the state of the marine environment and to save the heritage of the sea. The state of the Baltic Sea has been improving in recent years, but there is still a lot of work to be done, especially to reduce the nutrient load and to prevent biodiversity loss of the sea,” says Annamari Arrakoski-Engardt, the CEO of the John Nurminen Foundation.

Caverion is dedicated to building performance and people’s wellbeing in smart and sustainable built environments. The company is continuously improving and expanding its advisory, engineering and digital service offering to increase its customer value and environmental handprint.

As the geographical heart of Caverion, the Baltic Sea connects almost all of the company’s operating countries: Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In 2023, Caverion is celebrating its 10th anniversary as an independent company.
